Anti-Reflective Coating

Reduce reflections on your lenses for clearer-looking glasses and fewer distracting glints.

Thin metal round eyeglasses on a white surface

An anti-reflective (AR) coating is a set of very thin layers applied to the lens surface. It reduces the light reflected from the front and back of the lens, so more light passes through and others can see your eyes more clearly.

What people notice

  • Fewer reflections in photos and video calls.
  • Less glare from overhead lights and screens.
  • Reduced halos around lights at night for many wearers.

Caring for AR-coated lenses

Coated lenses show smudges more readily. Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap or a dedicated lens spray, and dry with microfibre. See how to clean eyeglasses.

Select anti-reflective coating in the lens builder; the price is shown before you add to cart.
