A simple solution can be made with ingredients many people already have. Use it only on lenses, and test on an older pair first if you are unsure about a coating.
Simple recipe
- 3/4 cup distilled water
- 1–2 drops of lotion-free dish soap
- A clean spray bottle
Shake gently, spray both sides of each lens, wipe with a clean microfibre cloth and rinse if any residue remains.
Avoid vinegar, ammonia, bleach and high concentrations of alcohol, which may damage anti-reflective and other coatings.
