A diamond face is widest at the cheekbones, with a narrower forehead and a narrower, often defined chin. The angles are striking, so the aim is usually to soften the cheekbones and add a little width at the brow line.
How to tell if you have a diamond face
- Pull your hair back and stand facing a mirror in good light.
- Trace the outline of your face on the mirror with a washable marker, or take a straight-on photo.
- Compare the width of your forehead, cheekbones and jaw, and the overall length of your face.
Frame shapes to try
Browline frames
A strong upper rim adds width where a diamond face is narrowest.
Cat-eye frames
Upswept corners echo the cheekbones and draw the eye upward.
Oval frames
Soft curves balance sharp angles without competing with them.
Approach with care
Very narrow frames that sit inside the cheekbones can emphasise width at the middle of the face.
Face shape is a starting point, not a rule. Fit, colour and personal style matter just as much — if you love a frame, try it with our Virtual Try-On.
Fit still comes first
Whatever the shape, the frame should be roughly as wide as your face, your eyes should sit near the centre of each lens, and the temples should rest on your ears without pinching. See our frame measurement guide for numbers to compare.
